Domestic waste collection days

I'm not sure if anyone is monitoring the garbage collecting lorry, but I did it for the last 6 days for Jalan Idaman 3/1. Since during the last meeting, we're told there are 3 times a week for garbage collection, yes, this was what I monitored at the moment laa.

The first occasion was on 10th September (Wednesday), the second was on 12th September (Friday) and the third was on 15th September (Monday). Faridz - thank you for correcting me.

I suppose the next garbage collection will be on this Thursday night (18th September) or 'Khamis malam Jumaat'.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

I will try to monitor the schedule and post it in the comment section. I think this is important since it is directly related to the house-fly problem.

House-fly problem will occur badly if the lorry does not collect the garbage in more than 4 days. Why? please read the comment.

If you study the life cycle of the house-fly, you will learn, after 4 days the larva (maggot) will start 'fasting' and start to search for a 'nice' place to form pupa. And 10-14 days after that it will transform to an adult house-fly which will produce another 300 eggs.

So, if they collect it according to the schedule, the percentage of the maggot to die is high and there will be less or little house-fly problem. Otherwise, nak makan pun sibuk nak halau & pukul lalat.

Hmm, look as if they've changed the day they make waste collection after raya from Monday-Wednesday-Friday to Tuesday-Thursday-Saturday. Pls, anyone correct me if i'm wrong.

I think we have to know the exact schedule since if they don't follow, dogs, cats and even monkey will do their job instead.

I'm now confused with the waste collection days. Which one do they use?

1. Monday-Wednesday-Friday OR
2. Tuesday-Thursday-Saturday OR
3. I-S-A? (Ikut-Suka-Akulah)

Last saturday was the day they collected (if I'm not mistaken). Today is wednesday. So, they wait until someone complaint, then they'll come tonight as if the collection day still follow (the first one).

But the reality is they follow the third one... I-S-A
